We were surrounded by ancient trees, a swan lake, and a beautiful field of blooming daffodils. So many settings within one location and it was the perfect way to celebrate the upcoming birth of their baby boy!

The Maternity Portrait Experience
Maternity sessions are approached differently here. This experience is slower, more minimal, and deeply focused on embodiment. It’s about creating space to exist fully in your body during a season that is constantly changing.
You’ll be gently guided through your session. Attention is placed on form, light, and subtle movement — allowing the images to reflect your strength, softness, and anticipation. The result is a collection that feels grounded and timeless, honoring your pregnancy not as something to rush through, but as a meaningful chapter worth remembering.
An embodiment-driven experience honoring your pregnancy
This is where we begin by simply getting to know each other. You’ll introduce yourself, share where you are in your pregnancy, and tell me a little about your story. I want to know what this season feels like for you, what you’re hoping to remember, and what matters most as your body and life are changing.
We’ll talk through your due date and general timing, make sure we’re a good fit, and choose a session date that works well for you. From there, everything else unfolds step by step.

After we’ve officially booked your session, I’ll help you narrow in on a location and overall feel for your images. We’ll talk through environment, light, and what kind of setting feels most natural to you.
You’ll also receive a style guide around wardrobe, with an emphasis on comfort, movement, and cohesion. The goal is to choose pieces that feel like you and photograph beautifully, allowing your final images to reflect both your story and the airy aesthetic you see throughout my work.
3. the session
When we meet for your session, we’ll start by easing into things and getting comfortable together. Since this is often our first time meeting in person, we’ll take a few minutes to connect, talk through the plan, and settle into the space before we begin.
From there, the session is guided but relaxed. We’ll move at a pace that’s comfortable for you, adjusting as needed and keeping the focus on creating images that feel natural, connected, and true to this season.
4. Gallery delivery
After your session, I carefully edit and curate your images to create a cohesive, beautiful gallery that feels true to your experience. Each image is selected and finished with intention, resulting in a collection that feels both personal and complete.
Your final gallery is delivered online through a private, personal link. From there, you’ll be able to view, download, and revisit your images whenever you’d like, all in one simple, easy-to-navigate place.
5. Artwork & print collections
Your gallery includes access to a curated online shop where you can order professional prints and wall art. These pieces are designed to complement your home and preserve your images in a tangible, lasting way.
Printed photographs allow your images to live beyond a screen—displayed in your space, shared with family, or gifted to loved ones. I strongly encourage you to order the images you connect with most, so they can be experienced and enjoyed daily rather than saved on a screen and forgotten. These photographs were made for you to be seen, held, remembered, and lived with.

When considering portrait pricing for Oxfordshire maternity photography, it’s important to understand the value behind the investment, not just the number on the price list. Maternity sessions in Oxfordshire are about far more than a short photo shoot—they reflect years of experience, artistic vision, and the ability to create images that feel timeless, flattering, and deeply personal during a fleeting season of life. From expert use of natural light and thoughtful location selection to guided posing, professional editing, and heirloom-quality final images, maternity photography is a crafted service designed to preserve a once-in-a-lifetime chapter. Quality maternity portraits become part of a family’s visual history, making the investment not just worthwhile, but meaningful for years to come.
Maternity sessions are relaxed and unhurried, lasting between 30–90 minutes depending on how you’re feeling. You’ll receive a styling and location guide to help you prepare with ease, and you’re welcome to bring an outfit change or meaningful items you’d like to include. A £200 creative fee covers planning, preparation, and your session, along with a fully edited online gallery. Image collections begin at £150 and come in collections of 8, 20, or full gallery, with access to a private print shop offering fine-art prints, albums, and wall artwork designed to live beautifully in your home.
If you need a photographer, I fully recommend Katie! We are so grateful that we found her to capture our family during such a unique season living in Oxford. For both of our sessions, we were delighted by our images. In fact, it's nothing short of a miracle that she captured such incredible moments considering that my three children took turns having breakdowns both times. Katie was kind, patient, professional, encouraging (when I expressed concern over my kids' tears), and so good with the littles. And now we will forever have these beautiful images as a reminder of our young family in magical Oxford.

We are expats living abroad, so we have treasured the photos even more, as they have been wonderful to send to family members and friends abroad, helping them to join us in our celebration! And, newborns change so fast, so I really recommend getting a family newborn shoot to capture those sweet moments in a timeless way! Katie is a 5/5 photographer, and I highly recommend her!

We had a lovely time shooting with Katie. My family and I booked her for my graduation shoot in Oxford. She was very helpful throughout the whole process - from the initial discussions (providing different options, styling advice), to the shoot on the day, and the follow-up after. She made us very relaxed during the shoot and it was so much fun! She was very professional during the shoot with her advice on poses and location. But she also listened to what we wanted during the session (when we wanted to add different locations/angles).
