I couldn’t keep it to myself. Before long, I traded those binoculars for a camera, watched every tutorial I could find, traveled to bird festivals & tours around the world, and started sharing my images online. What began as a hobby soon turned into something much deeper — a passion for storytelling and connection.
That's when a shift from photographing only wildlife to photographing people changed everything. A new world of color, movement, & wonder was discovered behind the lens and this time, I get to give people a form of art unique to only them!
And as much as I love photographing people, when I need a quiet reset, I still love to grab my long lens & binoculars and go birding — full circle from where it all began!

y photography journey actually began with birds — yes, birds! In 2015, I picked up binoculars and discovered a world of color, movement, and wonder

(former pro-American football player turned Hebrew scholar), in 2013. I spent five wonderful years teaching kindergarten, a job that taught me creativity, patience, and how to find joy in the simplest moments.
In 2018, Joel’s Ph.D. journey brought us to Oxford, and what began as a move across the ocean quickly became a new chapter of purpose for me. I started my photography business here, inspired by the beauty of the English countryside and the people (& birds) who fill it with life. Now we live in a dreamy, fairytale-like cottage surrounded by rolling fields — a place that constantly reminds me how faithful God has been through every season of my life.

We have the most amazing family in the States, including 5 adorable nieces and nephews whom we are obsessed with. If you need a photographer, I fully recommend Katie! We are so grateful that we found her to capture our family during such a unique season living in Oxford. For both of our sessions, we were delighted by our images. In fact, it's nothing short of a miracle that she captured such incredible moments considering that my three children took turns having breakdowns both times. Katie was kind, patient, professional, encouraging (when I expressed concern over my kids' tears), and so good with the littles. And now we will forever have these beautiful images as a reminder of our young family in magical Oxford.
Katie provided incredible service! We ended up with dozens of absolutely gorgeous pictures to remember the occasion. Katie turned around the photos in no time and the only difficult part was having too many amazing photos to choose from! With great service, professionalism, and pricing, I know who to call for any occasion in Oxfordshire!

I cannot recommend Katie enough. If you are looking for a professional photographer, she is the one!!! From the beginning on, she supported and guided us through the entire 'wedding photo' process, gave us recommendations and helped us choose the most beautiful locations. Her photos captured everything that we hoped for on our wedding day and more. She is such an amazing human being and was super flexible on the day. I am more than grateful we found her to photograph our wedding in Oxford.

Katie has done 3 photoshoots for us. She’s professional, so relaxed (this was very appreciated with a newborn baby crying during outfit changes!), she has fun with her clients, and she comes with a vision that she’s ready to implement, if you’re up for it of course! We are expats living abroad, so we have treasured the photos even more, as they have been wonderful to send to family members and friends abroad, helping them to join us in our celebration! And, newborns change so fast, so I really recommend getting a family newborn shoot to capture those sweet moments in a timeless way! Katie is a 5/5 photographer, and I highly recommend her!

We had a lovely time shooting with Katie. My family and I booked her for my graduation shoot in Oxford. She was very helpful throughout the whole process - from the initial discussions (providing different options, styling advice), to the shoot on the day, and the follow-up after. She made us very relaxed during the shoot and it was so much fun! She was very professional during the shoot with her advice on poses and location. But she also listened to what we wanted during the session (when we wanted to add different locations/angles). We now have such beautiful photos that mark this special occasion and we will treasure them forever 🥰 Thank you very much, Katie!
